Our summer camp is designed for students with prior Spanish experience who want to speak the language with confidence while exploring engaging topics. Through units of inquiry, we create opportunities for students to use Spanish naturally, by expressing their ideas in real conversations and environments.

Week 1: Planet Superheroes (June 9-13)​

​​​​​Join us for a fun-filled week of adventure, science, and eco-friendly action! In this Spanish immersion camp, we will become real-life Planet Superheroes, learning how to protect our Earth through engaging games, hands-on experiments, and creative projects, all in Spanish!
​
Campers will explore topics like recycling, pollution, and sustainability throughout the week through interactive challenges, science experiments, and art workshops. Our activities include recyclable projects and learning about human and pollution impact on marine life & how to protect it.
​
The highlight of the week? A special field trip to participate in a beach cleanup with SAMO and visit Heal the Bay Aquarium, where campers will see firsthand how small actions can make a big difference for our oceans!​

Week 2: Gaudi & Barcelona (June 16-20)

Join us for a vibrant week of Spanish immersion as we explore the magic of Barcelona through the genius of Antoni Gaudí! Campers will dive into the city’s rich history, discover the wonders of Gothic architecture, and unleash their creativity with Gaudí-inspired STEAM activities. From building parabolic arches to creating colorful mosaics, young artists and engineers will experience the beauty of nature in design.

This week also includes delicious hands-on culinary experiences, a lively flamenco class, outdoor games, and special cultural activities to bring Barcelona’s spirit to life. Whether painting cityscapes, studying patterns in nature or enjoying a Spanish-style tapas feast, campers will be immersed in language, culture, and creativity—all while having a blast!

Week 3: Trip Around the World: Asian Edition (June 23-27)

Intiwasi Spanish Immersion Summer Camp: A Trip Around Asia! 🎉
Pack your imagination and prepare for an unforgettable adventure as we explore the wonders of Asia! This week, campers will dive into exciting games, hands-on cooking experiences, art projects, and music inspired by different Asian cultures. Every day, from crafting beautiful mandalas to mastering the chopstick challenge, making delicious onigiri, and discovering myths and legends, is a new adventure.

We'll also take a special field trip to bring our learning to life! Whether you're hunting for flags in our outdoor games, creating your own Zen terrarium, or moving to the rhythm of traditional music, this camp promises fun, discovery, and endless surprises!

Week 4 : Theme: Trip Around the World: South American Experience (June 30- July 4th)

Join us to explore the vibrant cultures, traditions, and flavors of South America—all while building confidence in spoken Spanish! Each day, campers will "travel" to a new country, diving into STEAM activities, hands-on cooking experiences, and lively cultural explorations.
From creating Andean-inspired textile art to cooking delicious empanadas, from discovering the wonders of the Amazon Rainforest to dancing to the rhythms of Cumbia, and Tango, this camp brings language learning to life in a fun and engaging way. Our interactive activities encourage natural conversation, creative expression, and cultural appreciation—making Spanish learning an adventure kids will never forget!
Week 6: Exploring and Defying Gravity (July 7-11)

Each day, campers will "travel" to a new country, diving into STEAM activities, hands-on cooking experiences, and lively cultural explorations. Join us for STEAM week where kids will jump, push, pull, and explore forces in action. Through hands-on experiments, interactive games, and movement-based activities, campers will discover the science behind inertia, gravity, and motion while having tons of fun!

Our campers will play pickleball, tug-of-war, and relay races. They will experiment with building mini trampolines, testing friction, and exploring inertia!
Week 7: Full Speed Ahead (July 21-25)

Ready to roll? This camp is packed with hands-on experiments, fun games, and activities designed to improve Spanish fluency while learning about how objects move.
​
From racing paper airplanes to testing the speed of rolling objects, each day will bring a new discovery about force, speed, and motion. The week will culminate with a field trip where kids will put their newfound knowledge into action, exploring how speed and force affect the game!
Week 8: Exploring the World of Bugs (July 28-August 1)

Explorando el Mundo de los Insectos! will introduce children to the incredible world of insects through hands-on STEAM activities, nature exploration, and plenty of outdoor fun. Each day contains activities, and we culminate with a field trip to see bugs in their natural habitat!

This camp offers a dynamic mix of science, art, and outdoor exploration, all while immersing children in the Spanish language.
Week 9: Trip Around the World Central American Experience (August 4-8)

This week, our campers are exploring the vibrant cultures, traditions, and landscapes of Central America! Through STEAM challenges, dance, cooking, and hands-on activities, campers will embark on an unforgettable journey across Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama.

Each day, we’ll dive into a new country, build Mayan pyramids, erupt volcanoes, explore Garifuna music, and cook traditional foods! The camp culminates in an exciting showcasing event of all we’ve learned.
Week 10: Italy Da Vinci and Michelangelo (August 11-15)

Throughout the week, campers will explore Italian art, science, music, dance, and cuisine while strengthening their oral fluency in Spanish.
From building aqueducts like Roman engineers to exploring Da Vinci’s inventions and Michelangelo’s art, children will discover Italy’s rich culture through engaging STEAM activities. They'll learn traditional Italian music such as the Tarantella and opera, and make their own fresh Italian dishes. The week culminates in where campers will get a hands-on pizza-making experience - the perfect way to wrap up our Italian adventure!
Week 11: Splish Splash a Journey through the World of Water (August 18-22)

Campers will explore the scientific properties, artistic inspiration, and cultural significance of water through a variety of hands-on STEAM activities. From learning about the water cycle to building mini-waterworks, they'll engage in exciting projects that explore how water shapes the world around us.

Through interactive art, campers will create water-inspired masterpieces, and in dance, they'll learn fluid movements inspired by water's natural rhythms. They'll even test the forces of water with water-based experiments and games!

The week culminates in a splash-filled adventure in which campers will witness the magic of water in action!
